Building a home on a wooded lot sounds exciting - until you realize just how much work goes into getting the ground ready before a single foundation wall goes up. We ran both our track skid steer and our Link-Belt excavator on this one - each machine doing what it does best. The skid steer pushed and piled cut timber while the excavator worked on grubbing out stumps and root masses. That combination lets us move efficiently without cutting corners.

What matters most on a job like this isn't just getting the trees down. It's what comes after - making sure the ground is cleared of debris, stumps are pulled, and the soil is in a condition that a builder can actually work with. Leaving buried stumps or root systems behind causes settling issues down the road. We don't leave that kind of problem for someone else to find later.
